The Atlanta Public Schools Webmaster works with the Executive Director of Communications and the district’s website team to maintain, update, and optimize the district’s website. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing an overall website strategy for the district in coordination with the district’s cross-functional web team. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for reviewing and updating web content, performing site cleanup, performing website design, identifying and fixing broken links. Finally, the webmaster is expected to optimize the APS website (Search Engine Optimization (SEO)), develop website policies and best practices, customize custom coding, develop a content strategy, provide input on user experience, and perform other duties assigned.
